Next · in Cronum Work
Next keeps a log of where each project stands: what got done and the next step, with branches that show every front you have open. Your AI agent writes to it as you work, so any session, tomorrow or next month, picks up right where you left off.
A look inside
A launch, a client's website and the kitchen, side by side. Paths move in parallel, and what's stuck shows up on its own. On the phone, a next step opened, with everything your agent left for whoever picks it up.

Send Marta the homepage
The homepage is up on the preview with the new photos. Marta signs it off before it goes live.
Detail
1. Run npm run deploy:preview
2. Check index.html on a phone
3. Email Marta the link
Decided: opening hours go in the footer.
1Every project, one board
A row for each, with its colour and its line of steps. One left idle for two weeks fades, so the live ones stand out.
2Every dot, a step taken
Tap one to see what got done that day and what came next.
3Paths in parallel
Blocked? Branch off and keep going. Each path has its own next step, and merges back when they meet.
4The next step, in a few words
The yellow dot marks what's now, and the card says which agent has the step. A path left waiting turns amber after a week, red after three.
5Open it: it's all there
A summary in a sentence or two, then the detail: the steps, commands, files and decisions your agent left for whoever picks it up.
6Say how it ended
Done, Partly done, Open a branch or Finish the project; on a branch, Abandon. Your agent does it as it works, or you do it with a tap.
Works with your AI agent
Connect Cronum Work to your agent once, and it reads and writes your real log. Use more than one? They all pick up the same steps. Four everyday stories, from a client's website to a podcast.

next_project_history
The menu page went live yesterday. Next step: send Marta the homepage for her OK. Shall I draft the email?

The tiler can't come until the 20th. Open a branch for the worktop, so I can get on with it.
next_fork_branch
Done. The main line keeps “Confirm the tiler's date”, and the Worktop branch has its own next step: order the quartz worktop.
The lamps don't depend on the tiles either.
next_fork_branch
Lighting has its branch too: pick the pendant lamps. Three paths now, and none of them waits for the others.

The website went live and the press kit is ready. The ads are designed and waiting for approval. Stuck: Q3 taxes, 23 days waiting for the invoices to go out.
The ads are approved, merge them into the launch. Can I archive this chat?
next_merge_branch
next_session_review
Merged Ads into the main line. Next step: agree the budget with Ana. Every step from this session is logged, so yes, you can archive it.

I haven't touched the podcast in over a week. Where was I?

Episode 4 is recorded. Next step: edit it. Your note says to cut the intro to 30 seconds.
Edited it on the train. Next, the cover art.
next_log_progress
Saved, and the podcast is moving again. Next step: design the cover art.
Your AI writes it, you glance at it. A few things, done well.
At every milestone it saves what got done and what's next. Give it the standing instruction once, and you never have to ask.
A few words on the card. The summary and the details, with the commands, files and decisions, wait inside.
When the next step is blocked, open a path that isn't. Merge it back when they meet, or drop it: its steps stay in the history.
The overview puts every open project on a real time line, over two weeks or a whole year, and flags what's waiting, in amber and then in red.
Ask whether a chat can go and your agent checks what's left to log or merge. Behind on the log? It proposes the steps it missed and changes nothing until you approve.
Install it on your phone and your computer. A step your agent logs shows up everywhere at once. No connection? You still see the last state of every project on your device. And Settings gives you a copy of your data.
Next is one of four modules in one app, with one account and one connector. Link a step, a branch or a project to a task, a plan or a note, by hand or by asking your AI.
Link a step to a task and they get done together: tick off the task and the step is logged, or the other way round.
Discover TasksThe dates live in Projects; where you really are, in Next. Link the two and each shows the other as a card.
Discover ProjectsTurn a line of your notes into a step with Add to Next, or link the meeting notes to the step they explain.
Discover NotesNext comes with Cronum Work's connector: one address for all four modules.

The app Next lives in, with Tasks, Projects and Notes: one account, one connector for your AI and one price.
Yes. Turn on only Next and Cronum Work is just that. You can also install Next as its own app, from work.cronumstudio.com/next: it opens straight into Next, and you can add the other modules whenever you like.
Open work.cronumstudio.com/next in Safari, Chrome or Edge and choose Add to Home Screen, or Install app. It isn't a bookmark: it installs on your device like any other app, with its own icon and window, it opens even without a connection and it can send you notifications.
No. Your agent logs each milestone as it works. You can also log a step yourself: tap its card and say how it ended.
A second path through the same project. When the next step is blocked but something else can move, your AI opens a branch: the main line keeps its pending step and the new path gets its own. When they meet again, it merges them.
Yes. Ask it to update Next: it compares the log with the conversation and the commits, suggests the missing steps and the branches to merge or close, and changes nothing until you say yes.
No. A renovation, a trip, a podcast, client work or your taxes: anything with a next step.
No. Cronum Work gives your assistant somewhere to work, and the assistant is yours: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another one. Depending on the assistant, adding connectors may need one of its paid plans.

Each assistant signs in to your account. It reads only what your request needs, and only your projects.
