GuideCronum Work
How to connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini to your tasks, plans and notes
One connector gives your AI assistant your real lists, projects and notes, so it acts on them instead of answering from memory. Here is how to set it up in a couple of minutes, assistant by assistant.
Ask an AI assistant what you have on this week and it can only guess: it doesn't know your lists. Tell it to move a deadline and it writes a nice paragraph, but nothing moves. A connector changes that. It lets the assistant read and change your real tasks, plans and notes, with your permission, from the same chat where you already talk to it.
Cronum Work has one connector for its four modules: Tasks, Projects, Next and Notes. You add it once, and your assistant can use all of them.
What you need
- A Cronum Work account. The Free plan is enough, with all four modules.
- An assistant that lets you add custom connectors, also called MCP servers: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor or VS Code. Some assistants only allow connectors on their paid plans.
- The connector's address, which is the same for everyone:
https://work.cronumstudio.com/mcp
The first time your assistant uses it, it asks you to sign in to Cronum Work and allow access. You never paste a password or a key into the chat.
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Cronum Work and paste the address above.
- Choose Add, then Connect, and sign in with your Cronum Work account.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings › Apps › Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Back in Apps, choose Create, name it Cronum Work and paste the address.
- Keep OAuth as the authentication, create it and sign in with your Cronum Work account.
Gemini
- In Gemini, open Settings › Connected apps and choose Add a custom app.
- Paste the address and sign in with your Cronum Work account when it asks.
Coding agents
In a terminal, add it as a remote server over HTTP. For Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http cronum-work https://work.cronumstudio.com/mcp
Then type /mcp in Claude Code, choose cronum-work and sign in. Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and VS Code have their own command or a one-click button: you'll find each one, ready to copy, in the step by step on Cronum Work's page.
The step most people skip: tell it when to use it
Connected, your assistant can use Cronum Work. It doesn't yet know when. If you say "I need to buy coffee", it may just agree with you.
The last step on Cronum Work's page, also in Settings › Your AI inside Cronum Work, gives you a short prompt for the modules you use. Paste it into the chat once: the assistant offers to save it as a standing instruction (in its memory or custom instructions), so from then on it adds what you have to do to Tasks, looks up a project in Projects before answering, logs progress in Next and keeps your notes in Notes, without being asked every time.
Five things to ask first
Add milk, coffee and bin bags to the shopping list.
What do I have pending this week?
Set up a project for the website relaunch from these notes. We launch on 12 June.
What's blocking the shop refit?
I haven't touched the podcast in over a week. Where was I?
Each answer comes from your real data, and each change shows up at once in Cronum Work, on your phone and on your computer.
You stay in control
- Before moving dates in a plan, the assistant shows you what would change and waits for your OK: Projects works out the new dates, so they are calculated, never made up.
- In Settings › Your AI › Connected applications you see every assistant with access to your account. Disconnect one and it stops at once.
- If an assistant says it isn't authorised any more, disconnect it and connect it again from its own settings.
